《送綦毋潛落第還鄉》

【註解】：
１、東山客：指東晉謝寧，曾隱居東山。
２、采薇：指殷末伯夷、叔齊采薇西山。
３、遠：這裡指不能入金馬門。
４、寒食：節令名，清明前一天或兩天。
【韻譯】：
政治清明時代絕無隱者存在，
為朝政服務有才者紛紛出來。
連你這個象謝安的山林隱者，
也不再效法伯夷叔齊去采薇。
你應試落弟不能待詔金馬門，
那是命運不濟誰說吾道不對？
去年寒食時節你正經過江淮，
滯留京洛又縫春衣已過一載。
我們又在長安城外設酒餞別，
同心知己如今又要與我分開。
你行將駕駛著小船南下歸去，
不幾天就可把自傢柴門扣開。
遠山的樹木把你的身影遮蓋，
夕陽餘輝映得孤城艷麗多彩。
你暫不被錄用純屬偶然的事，
別以為知音稀少而徒自感慨！
【評析】：
??這是一首勸慰友人落第的詩。
??落第還鄉之人，心情自然懊喪。作為摯友，多方給予慰籍，使其覺得知音有人是
極為重要的。全詩著意在這個主旨上加以烘染，有敘事、有寫景、有抒情，有感慨，
有勉勵。寫景清新，抒情柔蜜，感慨由衷，勉勵摯敬，吟來令人振奮。

you have mended your spring clothes here in these northern cities.
i pour you the farewell wine as you set out from the capital —
soon i shall be left behind here by my bosomfriend.
in your sail-boat of sweet cinnamon-wood
you will float again toward your own thatch door,
led along by distant trees
to a sunset shining on a far-away town.
